Independent Film Critics of America (IFCA) Announces Nominees for 2026 Awards
LOS ANGELES, CA — The Independent Film Critics of America (IFCA) has officially unveiled its nominations for the 2026 film season, celebrating a year of cinematic excellence across studio and independent filmmaking.
Leading the field is Ryan Coogler’s “Sinners,” which secured a dominant 12 nominations, appearing in nearly every major category, including Best Picture, Best Studio Director, and Best Screenplay. Closely following is Paul Thomas Anderson’s “One Battle After Another” with 9 nominations, while the high-octane spectacle of “F1” and the drama “Marty Supreme” also made significant showings with 5 nominations each. Rounding out the top contenders are “Frankenstein,” “Train Dreams,” and “Hamnet,” each earning several nods across the performance and technical categories.
